Kona growers donate coffee to US troops in Afghanistan and Iraq
13th October 2009
A number of growers in Hawaii's famous Kona growing region have been donating coffee to US service people in Iraq and Afghanistan since early last year, a report in the Honolulu Advertiser said in mid-October.
Greenwell Farms, Captain Cook Coffee Co, Kona Mountain Coffee and Arianna Farms are among the major donors of the coffee, in conjunction with troop support organisation Gathering of Eagles in Hawaii, according to the report.
Since February of last year, close to 4,000 pounds of coffee has been donated to US service units operating in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Robert Gowan, a trucker who transports Kona coffee, is responsible for initiating the ongoing effort, the report said, and he has been supported by many of the growers on the Big Island.
Gowan's organisation has already sent close to 900 boxes of Kona coffee to the two fields of operation, the report added, primarily to forces units -- in the US Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines -- based in Hawaii.

October 26 2009 Brunswick County North Carolina
by George Samek
Seems like Cindy Sheehan is no longer the darling of Code Pink and must now charge a speaking fee to continue to babble in public to feed her very large ego.
During her recent five stop tour of North Carolina during October Cindy arranged to speak at Brunswick Community Collage, in the home county of Uncle George & Jamie Samek.
As the Gathering of Eagles had bested Cindy in Greensboro NC and again at Bryant Park in Charlotte NC I had no idea of allowing her to slip away without a word with a few select troop-supporting protesters.
To my surprise a local group had formed to counter Cindy and on October 26 we stood proud together at the school to show Cindy this is the wrong place to babble and that Brunswick County NC is not Berkley California.
We were met by eight police officers who had never seen a protest before and were ready to maintain law and order. I spoke with them and told them they would be bored after observing our protest and could stand ready to observe flags, pledge, songs, signs, and last but not least, a prayer in a public place - with no regard for those who may be offended.
The police were very professional and not one problem required them to take any action, as this was a very peaceful gathering to protest a threat to our troops, who she claims to support.
Not on our watch .. Not Here .. Period !
This new group of 30 military vets and family members held a well planned protest and I joined with them and the GOE flag flew proud with the Red, White, and Blue.
The video of Cindy's speaking engagement showed her spending a huge amount of time and effort explaining our presence at the school and why we were not true troop supporters like her. I am sure she did not want her small group of 50 supporters to ask her why we were not sitting inside with them.
The local news media published a very fair and balanced report of both sides of this event.
After the protest I was asked to speak with the members about the GOE and our current Laptops for Wounded Warriors. I made new friends that night and the Gathering of Eagles made another strike on pure evil within the state of North Carolina.
I have found that whatever we do best for our military we do best together and by reaching out to other groups we grow stronger.
Now, please ...
Would someone be so kind as to bring me Jane Fonda ?
For those who wonder why patriot groups like GOE consistently counter leftists like Sheehan:
The demonstrators were there to support our military and their mission...and make a point that we object to anyone who is supported by the Communist Party USA.
In August 2009, Sheehan and Carl Dix, representative of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, demonstrated in Martha's Vineyard.
In 2007, this same man held a fundraiser for Cindy in Greensboro, NC.
In May 2007, Sheehan was one of the main speakers at an anti-war rally in Greensboro, NC. She shared the stage with Carl Dix. Other groups present and/or speaking included Code Pink, SDS-Chapel Hill, Nation of Islam and Military Counter Recruitment.
The patriot demonstrators are AGAINST the Communist Party, SDS and Code Pink which bring grief to military families and soldiers and give comfort to our enemies.
The official website for revolution newspaper, voice of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA (their words, not mine) : 500 Say "No to the War—Impeach Bush & Cheney"
We were there to say thank you to our fathers and fore-fathers for preserving our freedoms. And we were there to tell the county that what happens inside that auditorium on this particular Monday night does NOT represent "all" the good folks in Brunswick County. Some of us still believe in honesty and democracy and understand HOW we got our freedom to live in the greatest country in the world. Thanks to our VETS.

Jacksonville, North Carolina
The NC Gathering of Eagles sponsored our second Operation to demonstrate support for and celebrate the American Military in Jacksonville, NC.
About a hundred people came to Jacksonville, from all over North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, New York, Jersey and Philly.

They spread out along Highway 17 waving American and Marine flags and holding signs proclaiming respect, admiration and gratitude to the men and women of the United States Military.
A Letter from the wife of a deployed Marine
I just wanted to thank you again for such an amazing day! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one around that supports our men and women in uniform and today definitely proved me wrong. It was such an amazing experience and I'm just glad to say that I was a part of it!
You guys have no idea how motivating it was for my husband to hear people cheering and cars honking in the background when he called today. It really lifted his spirits and he plans on sharing all of the photos that I took today with the guys at his camp.
But I just want you to know that you all are the best and I just wish there were more people in this country like you! I hope to see you guys again real soon!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!~Jillian View
And a letter from Jillian's mom:
I just want to thank you for all you do for our Military, past and present. My daughter Jillian was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the rally today and honored to meet you. Participating in events like the one today gives her strength while her husband James is gone. It makes her feel like she is doing SOMETHING to honor those brave hearts while they sacrifice for all of us. We're a very patriotic family with a lot of military history (Pearl Harbor and Bataan) and have emphasized in our child rearing the importance of supporting the Military and commitment to country.
The Gathering of Eagles is an amazing group of individuals that truly care about those serving this great nation, and this family sincerely appreciates your commitment.
Thanks again

Raleigh, North Carolina
Report by Bubba
As part of a nationwide campaign sponsored by StopWarOnIran.org, the local chapter of F.I.S.T. staged an anti-war protest around the capital. According to WRAL-TV5:
"The North Carolina Coalition to Stop War on Iran held a march and rally to protest the growing threat of western-led attacks on Iran. Similar protests took place in 60 other cities across the country."
And then ...
"A group supporting United States troops also protested in Raleigh"
That would be the NC-GOE.
Just to set the record straight, we weren't protesting.
We were counter-protesting. In other words, we were there to make sure that the communist's freedom of screech was not presented unopposed.
Before I go any further, I'd like to pause to say Howdy to the FIST moonbats that are reading this. I know you are, because a conversation was overheard between a small group of you during this event. It went something like this:
Who are all those people with the flags?
That's those Gathering of Eagles, a bunch of old veterans.
I've seen their website, it'w awful. They're going to put pictures of us and call us commies.
Why can't those old fools leave us alone?
Do any of you recall that conversation? Well, to make it easy for you, every time I refer to you folks as commies, it'll be in red letters. (Makes it easier to count)
Also, anytime I have something to say to you commies, I'll put it in one these light blue hilite boxes.
Back to the protest / counter-protest
Numbers: It seems everyone always wants to know about the numbers. Head counts are something I never remember to do, but others tell me it was 42 to 31. That's 42 commie moonbats, and 31 patriots. So my original estimate of 30 from mid-last-week appears to have been more accurate than the RPD's prediction of 300. But that's the way it always goes, we never know what's going to happen till it happens. I'm happy to report that Rolling Thunder accounted for a substantial portion of that number.
The commies gathered on the south side of the capital grounds. We rallied at the Vietnam Memorial on the north-east corner, and after a few minutes about half of us began moving over to the south side. The remainder stayed at the memorials, just in case. (You know how commies sometimes get goofy around war memorials and are want to do damage.)
The capital grounds police stopped us just short of contact, and we were told that in order to stay on capital property we would have to abandon signs and flags. (We had no permit.)
The answer, of course, was "We dont think so".
We abandoned Capital property and moved across the street to the sidewalk where the Capital Grounds Police had no jurisdiction.

That was just as good, actually better. When the anti-Americans (oh, sorry. I meant commies) began their parade they had to pass right by us, so that worked out just fine. They marched around and through downtown chanting slogans and waving their anti-American signs (no flags, American that is).
Moonbat Quiz: Since you came to protest the war in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere else Americans fight for freedom; Why did you spend so much time chanting "Exxon/Mobil go to hell"? Why so many anti-capitalist speeches? Why were some of you carrying signs about home foreclosures?
I get the impression that it's not just war you dont like, I think you have a problem with anything and everything American.
What happens if you (and the rats you hang out with) get your way and capitalism is destroyed? What's gonna take it's place? Socialism? And what do we call institutionalized Socialism?
Communism
Funny how that keeps coming up, eh?

We followed them, with flags. Each and every person on the streets and sidewalks that witnessed their passing were informed by the Eagles that the previous Hate-America message was brought to them by the American Communist Party. At least one restaurant had windows on the sidewalk, so we entered the restaurant and made the same announcement. Hey, just trying to help.
When they (the commies) stopped (in front of the courthouse and in front of the Obama HQ) to chant and give speeches, the Eagles used the opportunity to move in close and add to what was being said. We pointed out that none of them had an American flag and offered to provide one. At one point, one of us walked into the middle of their sidewalk rally and offered a 3x5 American flag and pole to the leader of the group.
It was refused.
The flag was offered to seven different people, six declined even though their hands were empty. The seventh person took the flag. Of course, all this made the police very nervous and we were asked to move away .... again.
Photo 1
Photo 2
Photo 3
Photos are property of Herb's Creative Photography
After that, it all sorta fizzled out. By the time they returned to their original rally point - with less than half their original numbers - it didnt seem worth the trouble any more. We made a couple more offers on flags. The offers were declined, except 2 little 6-inch flags were accepted.
And that's the way it was, sez I.
The remainder of our numbers gathered for a group photo and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Why is there always some bozo with a Mercedes sign?

For those among you that have actually ever heard of F.I.S.T. before this week, have any of you ever wondered what exactly is FIST for and/or against?
Fight Imperialism and Stand Together
So, what Imperialism are they fighting? What emperor do they seek to dethrone?
Personally, I have to assume this is a reference to America as the Empire. If America is an Empire it is a very poorly run Empire. Are they speaking of America the Empire that (after being attacked, losing the majority of our Pacific fleet) whipped the Japanese, invaded and occupied their country? Then rebuilt their cities, society, infrastructure, established democray and then gave it all back to them and left? That's no way to run an Empire.
Or are they talking about America the Empire that stomped the Nazis (the murderers of millions), ran them out of France, Spain, Africa, Poland, etc. etc., then rebuilt the cities, societies, infrastructures of Europe - and gave it all back to the original owners and then left? That's no way to run an Empire.
When viewing the FIST-Raleigh website, I see the following images
The FIST logo is a red star. I dont think it's any coincidence that the logo resembles the Soviet and/or Chinese Communist star. Especially considering their adoration of Communist murderer Che Q., whom they lovingly refer to as the 'revolutionary hero'. They've even sent delegations to Cuba to worship at the Shrine of WormChow.
Moonbats: Have you ever looked into the whole story of Che? Do you not know that he was responsible for the murders of thousands of innocent civilians? Men, women and children? He proudly claimed to have personally shot scores of unarmed and bound people in the head, point blank.
Ernesto "Che" Guevara was nothing more than a cold-blooded, serial murdering coward.
Do yourself a great favor, read this article: Che Guevara, The Killing Machine
And knowing what kind of person Guevara really was, and how he is worshipped by people like FIST, shouldn't you reconsider being seen in public with them?
Add to the star and the Che worship the fact that the FIST websites contain a multitude of articles eschewing the blessings of communism and socialism, is it not fitting to refer to them as commies? Furthermore, why do they get angry when we call them what they are?
Our friend Del Vecchio submitted some thoughts:
Well, it was an interesting day today. A group of antiwar people announced a couple of weeks ago that they'd be holding an antiwar rally in Raleigh today. A rally against the war with Iran.
Now, I don't read or watch the news all the time, but enough so that I felt if we'd gone to war with Iran I would almost certainly have heard of it by now. Or it'd be on the Net somewhere at least, but no, I'd heard no peep of any declaration of war, or for that matter, debate in Congress about funding such a war, and neither of the presidential candidates had been talking about it (and they talk about EVERYTHING, damn but I'm tired of this campaign already!); so I reached a tentative conclusion that this was some kind of antiwar-in-general, conspiracies-everywhere paranoid reaction by some especially unsettled people.
Since the protest was scheduled on the same day and on the same grounds of the capitol that my local Viet Nam vets' group was holding its monthly memorial ceremony, it seemed reasonable for a few of us to hang around to make sure nobody did anything to the memorial. And maybe watch the protest, act as a counterprotest if that turned out to be appropriate.
The affair was supposed to start at 2PM, but there was hardly anyone there at that time. Slowly, over maybe 20-25 minutes, a group of about 30 people assembled, of which maybe 2-5 were people over 55 or so, and everyone else was under 25. (Didn't count the half-dozen little kids, 6-10 maybe, who they had with them.) Some nicely made signs about No War With Iran were carried by a dozen of the attendees (including a couple of the little kids- I'm confident they had been taking classes in History and Politics and were therefore informed, intelligent, committed protestors). I walked down the main street a few blocks just to check out what else might be going on, found a TV crew interviewing a young lady in a bright orange T-shirt with "impeachbushcheney.com" on it, and two older guys with "Vets For Peace" T-shirts.
When I got back to the capitol grounds, the local police had already drawn a line between the protest area and where the vets were at the Viet Nam memorial statue. There were about 30-40 vets in the group, from several organizations like Rolling Thunder, my local group, and others, and also at least one Blue Star Mother. (A lovely lady who's very active in supporting the troops in any way she can.) The police were nervous about possible violence, but once they saw how cooperative the vets were, they relaxed, and allowed some of them to carry their flags across the street from the antiwar people in a counterdemonstration.
I blended in with the crowd and got to the antiwar area. By then the biggest sign had come out (a two-person job to carry and display) which had on it the message I thought would show up- "All US Troops Out Of Iraq And Afghanistan". And there was literature being handed out from F.I.S.T. (Fighting Imperialsm, Standing Together), one of the organizations that sponsored the event (the other being Code Pink). The literature was fascinating, since it mentioned (among many things) that the shameful history of US imperialism is well known to go back many, many years, for example, our involvement in WW1 and WW2 were primary examples of imperialism. It also mentioned how awful it was for the US (never mentioned the UN or European countries) to be trying to interfere in the sovereign nation of Iran, who had every right to develop nuclear weapons if they wished, since after all, they were being threatened by the US and Israel and needed to be able to defend themselves.
I realized then how mistaken I'd been, to be under the impression that it was actually the Iranian president who'd been threatening Israel, and that I'd somehow missed the news articles about Israel aggressively going after Iran. Those Israelis are tough, with their population of maybe 7 million, to want to take on Iran (which is not exactly across the street) with its population ten times greater.
There was assorted verbiage about the peace-loving Iranians, and their enlightened system. (No mention of the elimination of the entire Bahai religion by the government.) Lots of mention of the CIA backed Shah and how bad he was, but oddly enough, no mention that far more Iranians were executed after the ayatollahs took over than ever died under the Shah. Oh well, details, details. Clearly, we in the US are the Bad Guys for our nefarious plans against Iran, and everyone knows there are secret plans to invade before year's end. (Why George Bush would start another war with two already going, as he's about to leave office, was not really explained, and the tiny details of necessary Congressional approval for funding and availability of troops not already in Iraq and Afghanistan were also glossed over.)
Meanwhile, the Blue Star mother had blended in with the protestors, and listened to the young ladies around her whining about those nasty old vets with their flags across the street, marring their perfectly good and righteous protest, why can't those old fools leave us alone? Apparently the Free Speech thing is kind of like some streets are-- that is One Way. We righteous protestors get to express ourselves, but you other jerks need to stay home and let us do our thing without a hint of opposition.
Finally, after some of the traditional chanting of antiwar slogans and a mildly inflammatory and really creative (as in, totally made-up statistics about how bad we are) speech by one of the protest leaders, the group proceeded to march down the main street to the Federal Building for a brief show there, after which they were to make their way to the local Obama HQ.
So they marched away, chanting some more, at which point I and the rest of the vets decided that was enough, the memorial was safe, it was a hot afternoon, and we were all ready to go home.
But the important work of the protestors was accomplished. There were several interviews of them by TV crews, and none that I saw of any of the counterprotestors, although I heard later there might have been just one. No doubt the protestors will be on the evening and nightly news, even though in fact it was a tiny demonstration, countered by at least an equal number of veterans and troop supporters. That's our media, serving us so well.
And that's all, folks. Till next time.....

scar·a·bae·us (scãr´ə-bē´əs) n. pl.[Lat.]
Scarabs. Insects that live their lives rolling dung into balls.

Of all the groups and organizations exhibiting symptoms of patriotism deficiency, the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas may be home to the vilest and lowest of them all. Though totally harmless, unless taken seriously, they make even Moonbats want to wave a flag. That's how much they stink.
On July 16, 2008 they came to Fort Bragg, North Carolina with the purpose of breaking the spirit and will of the United States Army.
They failed ... miserably.
This is what waited for them:

The U.S. Military is an awesome and formidable power, but do not make their wives mad. After learning that WBC was coming to their town to disrespect their fighting men, the "Fort Bragg Mommies" organized and mobilized. Led by Danell Shafer, they let it be known that WBC would not be welcome; the voice of the WBC hags would be drowned out.
And that's the way it was.

Danell (right) and friend show off their T-Shirts made especially for the occasion, and worn by all the Ft Bragg Mommies.

The Mommies were joined by fellow patriots from all around. Hundreds of Fayetteville residents, as well as members of various organization including Gathering of Eagles, Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders and many more; joined the party to help WBC understand they were not welcome - that their anti-America, anti-Military message was a waste of breath outside their little tabernacle of hate in Kansas.

Also killed were Sgt. Alejandro A. Dominguez and Pfc. James M. Yohn.
Photos and Story by Bubba
On arriving early in Washington, Donna and I first went to the funeral home and drove the route to the cemetery. As traffic allowed, we stopped and took photos of the homes and businesses that displayed flags and signs in honor of SPC Taylor.

By the time we got back to the funeral home, the previously empty parking lots had filled and people were walking from all directions.
We stayed long enough to get a few photos of the Patriot Guard Riders in attendance.

Eagles met and took up positions in several different locations along the route. Flag lines were established to honor the motorcade carrying SPC Joel Taylor to his home place.
Captain Bailey gathered with about a hundred people at the Food Lion in Washington near the funeral home.
TraderDave setup at Five Points, about 5 miles north of the turn onto Highway 32.
Donna and I went to the home of Washington Eagles Nicky and Crystal Hopkins who live on Highway 32. There we established our flag line with them. We were joined by five other local residents.

Unfortunately, I have no photos of the other groups that were along the funeral route. Once I set up the big flag, I cant go anywhere.

MoveOn.org Does Not Speak For North Carolina
Thursday, April 24 2008
MoveOn.org local chapters performed a press conference on the sidewalk in front of the Federal Bldg, New Bern Ave, Raleigh.
According to their website the purpose was to release and deliver to Senator Dole something they call the "Iraq and Recession Report Release".
In their words:
Recent polling data, gathered from NC voters across the state, will be presented to our Senator Dole's office in this exciting media event. Voters speak out on their feelings about the relationship between the unbearable costs of the war in Iraq, and our mounting economic challenges as a state, and nation. Concurrent with over a hundred other Operation Democracy councils across the country, we will help to shape public awareness- and the political debates of the candidates
The message that was actually delivered:
We, the liberal moonbat Bush-bashers and despisers of military; doubters of the nobility of America, do hereby proclaim our belief that once again everything bad in the world is to be blamed on America.
We have the audacity to speak for all North Carolinians, because we surveyed a few people where we knew we would get the responses we were looking for; which of course was "America bad!", "Soldiers Mean!"
This is the same organization that slandered Gen. Patraeus last year with their NYTimes add that called him "BetrayUs". Now our local North Carolina Morons.orgers are attempting to embarrass and harass Sen. Dole and link their imaginary economic depression to the war in Iraq.
So, they clotted on the sidewalk and gave their little speeches about how much the war costs, how many houses for the poor could have been built instead, how many under-previliged kids could have been sent to college instead. On and on, about the economy and how it's all due to the war and that danged ole Bush. You know the dribble, you hear it from your local moonbats all the time.
Eagles and partiots were there. Their blame America party didnt go off as planned, and they didnt have all the fun that was promised. For one thing, they were surrounded by American flags - that always makes them break a rash. Plus, they were constantly interrupted with questions they couldn't or wouldn't answer and probably did not comprehend.
In short, Eagles had a good time. Moonbats were miffed.

March 22, 2008
Charlotte, NC
Report by Mark Chadwick
First, we must thank the one above looking down to give us a beautiful sunny warm early spring day to stand up for the Veterans, Troops, Sue Myrick and the greatest country in the world.
I would also like to say we missed
George – get that body back in moonbat-fighting shape.
Waldo - we missed you but we had your flags as you can see Pictures
Bubba - we missed you and you have been in our prayers this week
The day started with Irene and I talking about the number of GOE folks we would have, by the time our heads started hanging low thinking it would be us two and the Tuttles we heard thunder ...
ROLLING THUNDER Chapter 1 out of South Carolina that is!!!!.
Irene and I high-fived and viewed in amazement as they headed toward us. We had a little issue with parking- I did not want them on the moonbat side, no need to ruin a great bike with a moonbat face smear if the bikes got touched. We ask them move over to the south side but the Property owners of South Park did not want us in their lot and they will not get me in that store again.
The manager of Bo-Jangles let us park behind their store.
So after that little issue it was time to start the mission.

It was not the mission I thought we would have, mainly the moonbats did not want anything to do with us. The bats stayed up at one corner all day- A few of us went up to the corner to give them our best- Irene, the new GOE member from Canton, NC- forget his name, a very smart young lady who fed me ideas to let the bats know how we felt. I did get a little out of control a few times but Irene was there to keep me straight.
The bats were mainly a few kids, Jibril Hough [Click! for info on this homegrown terrorist sympathizer], some big guy with a impeach everybody sign (Mark lit in to him later in the day), and their leader Dave Dixon from the Action Center for Justice of NC. I tried in vain over and over to get Dave or Jibril to “get it on” with a nice true verbal talk about their views, but they would not say a word. All I got was a few “you red neck” from the kid with the mask on his face [illegal in N.C.] - where I come from Red Neck is a good thing- Good ole boy from the South ..
The normal signs of the bats were out in full view

As you can all see, what was missing? ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
You got it - the America Flag.
They did go get one after we pointed it out and let them know the red one with a sickle and star would not work today. When they did get one up it might have been 8 by 11 and the little bat bit$$ hung it up side down. The more the bats are out in public the more the public can see who they really are.
Well about 2:30 pm we all meet at the bikes to talk and thank everyone. The bats at this point finally walked down to Myrick’s office, but they must have thought we were gone. Rolling Thunder made a few trips around the block and in front of the bats to give them a send-off.
Jim Tuttle got out and front and before I knew it he was in the middle of the bats with a nice little talk going on.. I hope he is not pissed that I got him out of there. I would have had a hard time explaining to the cops and ER doctors that Jim’s C-Leg did not get in that kids ass with k-y but it might take a little to get it out…..
GOE ruled the day- Americans around 50 – Bats maybe 20.. GOE could not have done it without Rolling Thunder – I just hated the bats would not confront us in front of Myrick’s office – it was boring as hell without someone to “talk to”…
So, what was this all about?
The "Action Center for Justice" organization sponsored a protest rally and march on Rep. Sue Myrick and Coca-Cola.
These moonbats have their panties in a wad over Myrick's support for the war. The goals of their hissy fit, as listed on their website, were as follows:* Immediate, Complete, Unconditional Withdrawal from Iraq
Well of course they advocate absolute surrender. Remember the Vietnam template: retreat from a won war, abandon allies on the battlefield and ignore reports of mass murder and genocide. And by all means, let's ridicule, denegrate and prosecute the veterans of the legislatively lost war.* Impeach Bush & Cheney for War Crimes & crimes against the people
We've been hearing this one for years, but still no specifics on the charges to be presented for impeachment - except for resusing to bestow Constitutional rights to non-American enemies of America. Let us not forget that Bush lied - when he referred to Ted Kennedy as the "honorable Senator".* No War against Iran
Never mind that Iran makes war against us - going on 3 decades. God forbid that we should ever buck up and fight back against anyone.* End all occupations now - from Iraq to Palestine, the Philippines, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Afghanistan
Does it not matter that foreign governments request US presence? If we end US presence in all other nations, can we take all our aid money with us? And the food? And the medicines? etc. etc.
And can anyone of the moonbats point out Palestine on a map? (Hint: There is no Palestine, never has been. It exists only in the little minds of moonbats and a bunch of displaced Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians and misc. Arabs that refer to themselves as Palestinian.)* No to U.S. intervention – Hands off Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, the Sudan, & all of Africa - Money for reparations, food & AIDS, not war
Giving money, food and medicine to other nations IS intervention.* Stop the raids against immigrant workers -- Full rights for undocumented workers - No new prison in Gastonia, NC
By immigrant workers, they really mean illegal aliens, which by definition are criminals. They give not a whit about legal immigrants. Full rights (assuming they're referring to American Constitutional Rights), for illegal aliens equate to the right to be arrested and shipped back to where they came from. Also assuming this Gastonia prison has something to do with illegal aliens - if we give them their full rights as defined in the previous sentence, we wont need the prison.* Demand workers right to organize - No to Coca-Cola's murder & repression of workers in Colombia & theft of water resources in India
I cant comment on this too much. I dont know what they're talking about. My guess is, they dont either.* Justice for Katrina survivors – End racism & police terror
* Free Mumia Abu-Jamal and all political prisoners - Defend civil liberties & the right to dissent
* Stop the war on women, youth & the LGBT community
* Money for health care, housing, jobs and education, not endless war
I'm sorry, I have a life and not enough time to sit around refuting endless Moonbat claims. Just let it suffice that the Charlotte Moonbats came and pitched a hissy fit because they despise America and are incapable of recognizing the true threats to life and liberty - as they demonstrate by insisting on freeing a convicted and self-confessed murderer : Mumia Abu-Jamal
My personal thanks to Mark, Irene and the Tuttles for getting this event organized. It's not an easy task and together with Rolling Thunder they were successful in denying the anti-patriots an unopposed hate-America hissy fit.
This is Americans standing up. Never again will we allow a small group of seditionists, anarchists and traitors to trample our country, flag and military - as was witnessed in the 60s and 70s.

Jacksonville, North Carolina
The NC Gathering of Eagles sponsored an Operation to demonstrate support for and celebrate the American Military.

Hundreds of people came to Jacksonville, from all over North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and West Virginia. They spread out along Highway 17 waving American and Marine flags and holding signs proclaiming respect, admiration and gratitude to the men and women of the United States Military.
GOE National Director, Larry Bailey reports.
In response to the pitiful gathering of Westboro Baptist Church miscreants near Camp Lejeune, NC, on 1/26/08, the North Carolina chapter of Gathering of Eagles organized a support-the-troops rally alongside a 300-yard stretch of US 17. Scores of flags and hand-painted signs adorned the route, and the Eagles stayed at their posts despite a continuing cold drizzle.
The event was supported by various other patriotic organizations, including Eagles Up and various motorcycle clubs.
For three hours, Jacksonville, the host city for Camp Lejeune, rang to the sound of beep-beeps, ah-OOH-gahs, honk-honks, and BLA-A-AAAATs as passing vehicles indicated their approval of the pro-troop message the estimated 250 patriots were putting out.
Scores of Marines and their family members actually pulled into the parking lot near the gathering to express their appreciation for what the Eagles were doing. One of the most memorable was this quote from a Devil Dog: "We just got back from Iraq yesterday, and it's good to see that somebody gives a s__t!"
One Eagle stated, "This was so good, I'd have PAID to be here!"
It was a great day for America and for the US military.

Eagle Toothless Dawg, (Jim Holmes), has written up his AAR for this event. He did a fine job, and I reckon there's not much else to say.
So here is Dawg's report.
To those at Operation Celebration of America’s Military that I met for the first time, I’m honored to have met you and to stand on line with you … to those who I have met before and been on line with before, I enjoyed every minute of today and look forward to standing with you again in the future as we support our country and our military and all patriots.
Ahhhhh, Another wonderful day standing on line. Today in Jacksonville NC near Camp Lejeune hundreds of patriots came together to show thanks and support for our military.
The distasteful first -
the Jacksonville PD closed all streets surrounding the location where WBC would be demonstrating. They allowed foot traffic if the people were going to visit a friend or lived/worked within the closed area. SURPRISE, one gentleman patriot owned property next to where WBC was located. SURPRISE, USMC wives and girlfriends were permitted on his property. I didn’t get a chance to go there but everyone I talked to that did make the trip said there was a estimated showing of 100-150 wives/girlfriends/mothers!!! Now if that won’t put the fear of God into you, nothing will. PD had a strong presence, some on horseback. USMC had a strong presence on the base across the street from WBC … including Marines on APCs and in riot gear. As expected the wives/girlfriends/mothers handled it just fine … they made their intentions known and the police finally allowed that one at a time they could walk up to WBC while being escorted by a police officer and have their say … all complied in the time permitted.
At our location a few miles north of the Veterans Cemetary demonstration, I arrived at 10:30 to find 50-60 Eagles already on site and many flags already placed. At 1100 hours (permit was granted from 1100-1400) all Eagles gathered in the parking lot and sang the national anthem as a flag owned by Bubba McDowell, the NC GoE Coordinator, was raised. This in NOT the normal run of the mill flag … it is a 20' flag that is hoisted on a specially made flag pole that is anchored by a base plate the truck sits upon. All I can say about it is AWESOME!!! Another GoE member fabricated the flagpole and base plate.

It is difficult to assign a number to attendance … people were coming and going … also once the WBC left town, the wives/girlfriends/mothers joined us. I would guess-timate that in our lull period we had 100-150 patriots on line … at our high water mark probably 200-250 and National Colors in abundance. We had GoE, Patriot Guard, Militaryappreciationday.org, Leathernecks MC, and other motorcycle clubs in attendance including Pagans and affiliate clubs. I apologize if I missed any group but your attendance is greatly appreciated.
We had people that were driving by join us on line … we had people from the Super Walmart come out and join us on line … we had families that were going to Chucky Cheese Pizza come out and join us on line … and we had young Marines who came out and while they could not actually join us, they walked the line and shook hands of everyone there and thanked us for our support. The local pizza parlor (sorry I forgot to get the name) delivered a ton of pizzas and drinks to the line. USMC delivered coffee and doughnuts to the line on NUMEROUS occassions.
12 large pizzas were donated and delivered by Steve Vinson from the Dominoes Pizza on Gumbranch Road. Steve is also a retired Marine.
Thanks for the hot pizza, Steve!
A group of Marines came by and said hello, then went to WalMart. They returned with bottled water, soft drinks and hand warmers for our ladies and babies.
Marine wives twice delivered doughnuts and coffee.

Traffic??? OMIGOSH!!! Not one negative gesture that I saw and while many did not acknowledge us preferring to look and keep driving … the MAJORITY of traffic was highly supportive. Horns were blowing, airhorns from passing 18wheelers were LOUD, we observed that many people came by numerous times with the windows down so their children could wave and cheer. A few energetic and expressive individuals were standing in the sunroof of their vehicles (passengers, not drivers) and waving flags, ooooRAH’ing, waving, shouting … it was a great day!!! One very impressive gesture came from an elderly gentleman with his wife in the passenger seat that pulled over to the side of the road (handicapped or DAV tags from what I was told), got out of his car and walked to the front and faced the line. He then snapped to attention and held a ramrod straight salute to the line. He then got back in his car and drove off, blowing the horn for the entire length of the line, his wife waving as they passed. Families as well as marines were driving slowly as they passed the line and holding cameras and video cams to take pictures that will be shared overseas and back at the base.
The day was overcast, wet and cold but the support from the community drove away any feelings of discomfort. About 1330 the sun tried its best to peek through the overcast … and the ensuing warmth was well received, no matter how short the comfort it provided. The spirit was warm enough for us today.

The signs: "SUPPORT AMERICA" and "Land of the Free, Because of the Brave"

A Moonbat's Diary

Summary
White Area represents the Army Recruiter Office,
Blue represents the Police
Red represents the Gathering of Eagles
Yellow marks the path of incoming Moonbats
Appropriate color codes, eh?
After crossing Estes Dr, the Moonbats broke right and attempted to approach the Army office from the east.
The Police stopped their advance well before they reached the Army office.
The Gathering of Eagles moved around and came in behind the Moonbats. After pausing for a minute, the Eagles moved forward and formed a line.
After only a few minutes of verbal abuse the Moonbats retreated back to the south. They were escorted all the way back to the intersection and given an appropriate send-off.
Note, at no time did the Moonbats get even a glimpse of the Army Office. They came to do "creative action", were opposed, and retreated.
The End
Who Wants Pictures?

Next two photos were taken as Moonbats approached the intersection.

These next four photos were taken as the Eagles escorted the Moonbats back out to Franklin St.

The Eagles closed the day, as usual, with a Pledge of Allegiance.
